Richard Schwartz is a retired and award-winning chemistry teacher who spent much of his life in San Pedro California while teaching chemistry and physics at Torrance High School. He is father to three sons and has five grandsons and a granddaughter.

In his retirement, he enjoys woodworking (including creating some truly amazing custom toys for his grandchildren), cataloging his coin collection, reading and traveling.

He and his wife Martha recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and took their family on a cruise!
